Back to School: Resources for School Staff

ArcaMind is currently conducting a pilot of Early Adolescent Skills for Emotion (EASE) is a structured, skills-based wellbeing program developed by the World Health Organization (WHO) for youth 10-15 and their caregivers. It focuses on teaching simple, proven strategies that help young people:
- Understand and manage strong emotions
- Reduce stress and anxiety
- Improve problem-solving skills
- Build resilience and confidence
EASE is not therapy. It is a practical skills program that can be delivered in schools, community settings, and youth programs by trained facilitators.
How EASE Works
EASE is delivered in small group sessions using simple language and interactive
activities. The program focuses on building real-life skills that young people and their caregivers can use right away.
Participants learn how to:
- Notice and understand their emotions
- Calm their bodies and minds
- Break down problems into manageable steps
- Practice helpful thinking patterns
- Strengthen positive behaviors and routines
- Caregivers are also supported with guidance on how to reinforce these skills at home.
